Facilities
Our Community Centre consists of two large halls, Millenium and Century Halls, joined by the Sobey Suite. Both halls and the Sobey Suite have their own facilites making them perfect for large or small gatherings. Tables and chairs are available in all three of our spaces, and all have discrete kitchen and toilet facilities. Ample on-site offroad parking is available for hirers, with disabled bays, bicycle racks and a specific, adjacent parking area for offloading equipment.
The Centre has two gardens and an outside courtyard area.We are really proud of our status as an Environmental Body through the Entrust scheme – our spaces benefit from double glazing throughout, wall and floor insulation, and a solar photovoltaic panel scheme which helps power our eco-friendly underfloor heating – resulting in our carbon footprint ratings drop by three quarters!
CENTURY HALL
Century Hall comprises a main hall some 50ft x 35ft (15.2 m x 10.7m), a well equipped kitchen with two serving hatches, toilets, piano, projection screen and tables and chairs, and is capable of accomodating 200 seated or 300 standing guests.
MILLENNIUM HALL
Millennium Hall comprises a main hall some 27ft x 45ft (8.2m x 13.7m) with 10ft high ceiling, a kitchen with serving hatch, toilets with baby changing area and disabled facilities, blackboard and projection screen; it can accomodate 150 standing and 100 seated hirers.
A secure grassed area adjacent to this hall makes it ideal for functions with an open air feel.
SOBEY SUITE
The Sobey Suite, which links Century and Millenium halls, is now available to hire separately from the larger halls. It comprises a good-sized room, 12ft x 34ft (3.7m x 10.4m) with large windows down one side, wall mounted electric heaters and a sink in one corner. The is access to male, female and disabled toilet facilities and a large well equipped kitchen.
